A wall measuring 825 kilometers in length and 4 meters in height divides the territories of Turkey and Syria, separating eight million refugees into two sides of the wall.

On the Syrian side, thousands of people will not survive the coming winter because of the rampant spread of COVID-19. This is a place where clean water sources are non-existent, social distancing is impossible to maintain, and the very basic of health care needs go unmet. This is a place filled with a sense of hopelessness where the world’s press has forgotten its presence. On the Turkish side, 100 thousand residents in the town of Reyhanli have generously provided asylums for 120 thousand Syrian refugees over the years. The devastating domestic financial crisis, compounded by the constant armed conflicts and the ravaging virus across the border, tens of thousands of households in this town are on the brink of experiencing a pandemic of hunger and poverty.

From 8000 kilometers away, how could Taiwan help?
